I am a qualified Art Therapist registered with ANZATA (Australia & New Zealand Art Therapy Association). I gained my Masters in Art Therapy at the University of Western Sydney, NSW and also hold a BA in the Visual Arts.
My interest in Art Therapy arose through my own awareness of the potential of art for personal growth and healing. I also continue to maintain my own art making practice with a special focus on painting and textiles.
I work in private practice and have been a supervisor and casual lecturer on the Master of Art Therapy at the University of Western Sydney.
I am an experienced practitioner in the area of early intervention with families in need of support. This has led to a special interest in how the very earliest of our infant experiences shape our life patterns and emotional experience.
Consequently my thinking is framed by attachment theory and a psychodynamic approach. |
